As one of Scotland’s largest maritime themed gatherings we bring together lovers of the sea – be it boat builders, restorers, sailors, fishers, rowers, or associated craftspeople.

Lie afloat and take the bottom in the Old Harbour (dried out at low tide)
Lie float and take the bottom in the New Harbour (approx. 2ft water at low tide)

Insurance Details

Users of Aberdeenshire harbours are required to carry a minimum of 3rd party liability of £3m.

Static Display of Boats (Off Trailer)

We have quayside space available for static boat displays - free of charge.​​

Do you have a boat you wish to display to fellow boat enthusiasts? If you do, please provide an information sheet outlining the details of the boat.
A template will be provided to enable you to do this, however, if you already have an information plaque, please feel free to use this.

On The Water Activity Participation

It is proposed, weather permitting, that a programme of water-based activities/sailing activities (planned routes) will be scheduled on both days of the Festival around high water.

Festival Entry Wristbands

Each registered boat will receive 2 weekend Festival entry wristbands at Registration. Additional discounted bands can be purchased in advance for crew members at the cost of £10 each. Quantity available will be relative to the maximum crew size for the boat being registered.

Festival Campsite

Camping, caravan, and motorhome pitches are available on a first-come-first-serve basis at Portsoy Links Caravan Park. There will also be pitches available for camping and campervans at Loch Soy. If you require a pitch please contact Portsoy Links Caravan Park directly to book. Please ensure you advise them you are taking part in the Festival.
